The spirit of an Arctic Fox runs in the night sky, creating and stirring up the northern lights. In the snow, a fox is curled up for the night but raises its head slightly to listen to the activity above.

The northern lights dance in the shape of two bison strolling through the night sky over a couple out for a walk on a winter night.

A bee rests on a bright red flower. My tribute to the pollinators that help produce the fruits and berries that we eat. Acrylic on 8 x 10" canvaspaper.

Community Totem - 2018
The seven totem animals are visible, rising above a person on a vision quest. The totem animals all bring different abilities and characteristics, which together make a supportive community.

Butterfly - Oct 2008
This is a ready-to-hang wall plaque. A butterfly flits through the warm summer air. His wings show the four colors representing the four directions as on the medicine wheel. I am particularly fond of the wing detail and have given a couple of these as wedding gifts. Acrylic on approximately 7 x 9" scalloped edge wood block.

Vivid Butterfly - 2010
This is one of my Ojibwe-style butterflies fluttering through a vivid sky of multiple colours. As with the wood plaque above, I have paid particular attention to the wing detail. Watercolor pencil and black ink on 4 x 6" watercolor paper.

A tree stands on a lonely hill. The night sky is filled with stars, and the last traces of sunlight are still visible on the horizon. A shooting star flashes across the sky. Acrylic on 11 x 14" stretched canvas with the front image extending onto the sides and is wired on the back for easy hanging.

Three bison roam over the prairies as the northern lights dance in the sky overhead. A nice vision of the great herds that once roamed the continent. Acrylic on 9 x 12" canvaspanel.

Three bison gaze over a snowy landscape, once free for the roaming but now divided by fences and roads. The skies will always be free. Acrylic on 8 x 8" canvas with curved edges, which gives a three-dimensional effect with the starry sky.

Three White Horses
Inspired by Chinese paintings of galloping horses, three white horses race down a grassy hillside. Measures 9 x 12 inches and is on canvaspanel. I have not varnished the painting in order to retain the metallic shine of the gold and bronze paints.
